Attendance

Q - I wasn’t feeling well this morning and came in after first block.  Can I still play that day?

A - No.  Athletics comes after academics, and if you are not well enough to be in school then you cannot participate that day.

Q - I need to leave early for a doctor’s (dentist's/counseling/etc) appointment.  Is that excused?

A - Yes, as long as you bring a note in from the doctor’s office saying you were there.  This is the same for the dentist, orthodontist, physical therapist, etc.

Q - I am only missing a study hall but will be here for all academic classes.  Is it ok if I miss a study hall?

A - Sorry but no.  UNLESS you are a senior with senior privileges you MUST be in all classes, including study halls, in order to participate in athletics that day..

Q - My car broke down or I had an emergency and got to school late.  Can I still play today?

A - Check in with the office and then see the Athletic Director as soon as you can and explain the circumstances.  As long as it is a valid excuse and this is not a common occurrence it will likely be accepted.
