Violating the ACCA

Q - What are considered violations?

A - There are several levels of violations. The most severe are the ones for illegal activity – drug use, alcohol use, assault, vandalism etc.  Those, and some others, would constitute “Level 3” offenses and would result in a 15-day and minimum 2-game or event suspension from athletics.  “Level 2” offenses include vaping or e-cigarette use, the use of tobacco products, hosting a gathering where underage drinking or drug use occurs, or a second level one offense.  These offenses result in a 10 day/minimum two game or event suspension.  Please think of “Level One” offenses as rules you might have at home.  We expect our athletes to represent us positively; to not demean, ridicule or abuse a teammate, official, coach, or opponent, to not be involved in academic dishonesty, and to show respect to authority.  Failure to do so will result in a “Level 1” violation – a five day suspension from activities with a minimum of a one-game or event consequence.  In short, we expect our athletes to make the proper choices or they will face a consequence, just like they do elsewhere.
