Earning of Letters

Q - How is it determined who earns a varsity letter?

A - Coaches are asked to cover this with players and parents at the start of the season.  In general, if a program has a varsity and a JV team, earning a letter happens by playing in at least 50% of the games or practicing with the varsity for 75% of the season.  For programs that don’t have a JV team, coaches will determine criteria before the season.  Criteria could include qualifying for the State Meet, earning a certain number of team points, playing in a certain number of games or matches, or similar requirements.
