Driver’s Ed

Q - I want to play sports and take Driver’s Ed.  Can I do this?

A - It is difficult.  Driver’s Ed is not considered an excused absence from athletics, and so if an athlete is missing multiple practices, games, or events, it could very well result in reduced playing time or even removal from the team.  There are some Driver’s Ed programs that impact seasons less than others as they may be at night or on weekends.  Find out the times and conflicts of Driver’s Ed classes and talk to your coach before registering to make sure that both can work.
