JV Boys Basketball Tourney Info

Welcome to the “Hawks vs ALS” JV Basketball Tournament.  For over 25 years, the Hopkinton Odd Fellows has run a JV Boys Tournament this weekend, but for a variety of reasons last year was their last.
Meanwhile, the husband of Patty Connolly, a teacher, Field Hockey and former Girls Basketball Coach here at Hopkinton, was diagnosed with ALS in the past year.  As we learn more about this horrible disease and see what Patty and her husband Gene are going through, many in our community have asked what we could do in support.  With that in mind, the coaching staff here at Hopkinton has decided to put on this tournament and donate all of the money raised to ALS research, in hopes of finding a cure.
Special thanks to our eight area schools who are all participating in this tournament, as well as to the NH Basketball Officials Organization; Every single referee for this tournament has offered to officiate without pay so that we have more money to donate.  A huge thank you to these officials for their time and generosity in doing so.
The tournament will be run on February 27-29th, and a schedule of games is below.  We will NOT be charging an admission fee to this tournament but will simply be asking people to make a donation to fight ALS if they so choose.  Concessions will be sold throughout the tournament, and again all proceeds from that will likewise go to fight ALS.
Again, thank you for attending our tournament and for helping us do what we can to fight ALS.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  Thank you!
